La Famiglia di Orgoglio

The starting and stopping of the rain made photos difficult, and there are several friends who stopped by our corner and left unsnapped.

You'll see bloggers David, Ed and Joe in this one:

Here's blogger Eric:

You'll see Crixi and bloggers Joe and Chris in this one:

Here's John B, who, many, many years ago, served as my altar boy. I guess I didn't quite inspire him to get ordained, but because my past is above reproach, I never mind running into it on the street.

Dear BIJGuy,

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm drawing a blank on the names of the two men on the right, which is particularly awful because I've met them before. On the other side are Craig in the red shirt and Ned in the cap.

The second from the right is Mike from Boston, the other, um, I hang my head in shame.

And just what is my right hand doing in that photo, and if it's what I think, why doesn't Eddie look happier?

The Family of Pride; rightly so.

You have something else to be proud of, Father Tony. You have joined the ranks of Twain, Orwell, Voltaire, Thoreau, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Bradbury, Tolstoy, Paine and many more: you've been banned. Or at least blocked, by the Denver airport.

I was able to access Towleroad and JoeMyGod, but not your blog. You know you're doing something important when your words are considered not suitable for public consumption by someone who has no interest in reading them. It reminds me of a distant post when you included the idea that words are not moral or immoral. Words provide insight, information and interpretation; nothing more and nothing less.

May you continue to make some uncomfortable with the pride you express in being the man God made you to be.

craig looks like he has beautiful blue eyes. i dunno...there's also something particularly handsome about men who smile WITHOUT their teeth. dunno why i think that.

Dear ewe,
While I've managed to identify the other non-bloggers as Craig, Ned and Mike, the man over whom you are wilting remains a mystery. Maybe Joe knows. I'll ask him and report.
