Read this today

If you read anything today, read this.

C pointed this out to me knowing that I rarely get to the opinion columns in The Times. Roger Cohen says it all. I hope it is not too late.

That was an amazing read. Thank you Tony and C for pointing it out. It is so refreshing to hear the unadulterated truth, after listening to so many babbling voices spinning falsehoods. I have not lost all hope for the MSM, and hope these lonely, truthful voices can coalesce into a shout heard round the nation.

Sad but true. I really am fearful that the Republicans willcontinue to control the White House for another 4 years and of the consequences if they do.

It is a sad statement about the nation that so many people seem to be cheering the choice of Palin and that the media has for some reason decided that it is wrong to criticize her.

Heaven help us all.

We live in a nation that loves to embrace its own ignorance. We'll probably elect the old man who finished his legacy admission to Annapolis fourth from the bottom and the woman of four undergraduate, mediocre colleges. Because they're "people like us" said small town America.

Oh, Lord, such liberal claptrap.
in reality, the top 105 of income earners paid 70.8% of taxes in 2006-- up from the 67.3% they paid before the Bush tax cuts.
yet, their share of actually fell by 1.3%. Class envy is most unbecoming.
And i guess it means nothing to some that there have been no further 9/11's even though everyone was expecting them.
This piece is derivative, sophomoric trash.

That should read "...top 10%...", not "...top 105..."
