That back end looks like a spread-eagle invitation. I suppose that was the whole point.
1959 was the peak of civilization- it's all been an agonizing decline since then.
Stylistically, of course.
Ahhhh... shades of my childhood. I have to admit, I love the style of that era. Automobiles were distinct and there was no mistaking one make from another.
I could go on and on about what that era of industrial design signifies to me. Just beautiful.
