I hope you will go to Bilerico tomorrow to read my response to the following question from Roxanne:
Are all gay/bi people atheiest? Or just don't believe in the bible or something? I dont understand how some gay people can say they are Christian, when the bible clearly states that homosexuality is a perversion?

i have not read the letter yet over at Bilerico but does it not get really tired having to deal with these types of beliefs? It is like a black hole with a bottomless pit. How about just giving Jungle Jane a simple No as your answer?
Dear ewe,
I had considered it, but then I remembered that Bilerico gets millions of visitors, some of whom are just embarking on a journey of enlightenment. I have to speak to them, even though you and I might find the whole business tiresome.
The fact that she is asking at all is huge. She is ready to hear your answer. A tiresome question? Maybe, due to sheer numbers. But behind every question asked is at least one listener who might be moved. If she is led to expand her thinking, whom might she convince to rethink their position? Ripples in a pond.
Hmm....I'm wondering and hoping that we get to see Father Tony wield the Hammer on this one.
Foolishness.
I'm not quite sure where your reader gets her information. I am one of the few atheists I know. Most people tend to hedge their bets with agnosticism. I embraced my non belief before I ever figured out I was gay, so I am not quite sure there is any correlation. I will be looking forward to seeing your answer.
i'll try to rememba, friday is norooz thus i'm currently baking up a storm. i hope roxanne isnt a shit talking gimmick.
hugs not drugs,

I was rolling my eyes, but your response to ewe has piqued my interest to how you will respond. Which isn't to say I wasn't going to read it anyway. Just my expectations have been shifted.
I think all of you guys will not find any surprises. Her question was in the context of a larger comment about women being "bi". I do include a link to a delightful video called "Jesus was gay" by Pat Condell which I suspect you have already all seen.
I think Concern Troll is Concerned.
That was, as always, a voice of moderation, concern, and thoughtfulness...all the things I love in a good response from you. You never disappoint.
Strong work.
Well done Padre, a reasoned and thoughtful response tempered with an attempt at using the moment to genuinely inform. Not that I'd have expected anything less, mind you.
